Yesterday….May 22 was our anniversary…..27 years!! We spent the day digging in the garden….weeding…and just normal everyday things…It was a nice day!!

I did say…I would not buy anymore!! Didn’t I? well I bought some paints the other day…before I said I would not buy….(got myself outta that sticky little fib)…I bought some of the Stewart Gills Metamica paints…just two bottles as they were expensive  (of course they were)…..I do love them but found that they were pretty much the same as the Jacquard Lumiere I already had! The Lumiere is cheaper and you get twice the amount of paint..!!! So if your looking for metallic paints…..I won’t tell you which to get….
(they are both awesome paints)

Another purchase was the Claudine Hellmuth Studio paints…
Which I am just so in love with !!!
The colors are fabulous…the paint is so creamy and covers  really well!
just yummy! (I ordered some more colors today…ooops)

ok…thats it for me tonight..I’m tired….and really need a shower…
I’m covered in paint….how I get it all over  is a mystery!

I got up early just to bid on these….a box of crayons!
I waited till the last minute..with my little bid in  the box….

There was one other bidder…from last night….
but they must have overslept as I got em!!

I tell ya…I have no idea why art supplies need to be so darn expensive..
.and it will be my last purchase for awhile..
I really need to find some alternative’s  to use instead
of blowing money I don’t have for supplies…
uh huh…yep!

I admit…I don’t have alot of artistic talent..as in drawing…My art book from when I have practiced from taking Suziblu’s class…well they look like aliens…bug eyed aliens!  (I will spare you and not show them)
There are all these beautiful Angel paintings and such out there now on ebay and etsy..
and None look like bug eyed aliens!! So you see my problem!!
But yanno…it’s ok…cause I have just had the very best time…ripping up papers…doodling….staining..layering….
and just playing with all this mixed media stuff!
It’s like going back to being a kid in kindergarten….cut and paste…(I always hated the cutting part..so I rip)!
My desk looks like I dropped a bomb on it…
my floor is covered in papers and drops of paint, glue and wax..
It’s Just great! I may clean it up..OR I may just
collage my floor!
So if your like me (with alien angels)….who cares! Go make some art..
have fun with it…try anything….enjoy yourself….you may just like it…
I know I am having a blast with it!!

I love my pink house

I have been playing…and yes ..trying to learn….which is never easy for me..
I struggle…to stay on task….to follow directions…hah…but for this..
there wasn’t alot of directions.. I did flip thru some books and magazines….
and had taken the class from suzi blu….
I then just decided to give it a go…..and I tell ya….it was.alot.of.fun!

My very first Mixed Media Art..
A large piece of wood I saved from the burn barrel…..
Layers and layers of papers..tissues..paints…water color pencils….stains…stamps…and of course
some of my new pink mica for sparkle!
Then I used bee’s wax to cover all of it…..buffed to a nice soft finish!
And because I can be a doofus..I forgot to sign the front of it….before the bees wax..
So it is signed on the back…
I will remember next time!!
